Not necesarily, more accurately, it would be private land that is not subject to the RTA.
The RTA only applies to the public highway?
No. Supermarket car parks and any road that has public access is subject to the RTA.
£30, no points. Non endorsable offence. Is it £60 and three points for no drivers seatbelt on mainland UK?
£30, no points. Non endorsable offence.
why would you not wear one anyway? even if your going 100 yards, stick the seatbelt on, takes literally 2 seconds. Fair enough its been drummed into me to put a seatbelt on as soon as i get into any car, but it still just makes sense.
Why are private hire drivers allowed to not wear one, imagine a heffer rolling the car and him flying around inside the car you and getting squashed.
a lot of HGV drivers think its cool to not wear a seatbelt, little do they realize that in the event of a roll-over, the belt stops the driver getting thrown out of the cab!
Silly truckers.
