is Edge still dirt cheap in Costcos?

Want some oil for the car, I seem to remember somone saying Edge was something insane like £5 a litre in Costcos, is this still the case?

Better than £14 a litre like everywhere else!

I got 4 litres od Castrol Edge 0w30 for about £35 or so from Opie oils, special offer. Unde £10 a litre

I think the 5-30 costs more because its the longlife the other is 10k/1 year.

Is that the only difference then? the 0w-40 seems a better viscosity (in my limited knowledge anyway!)

Bought a service kit from opie, 8 Litres for £74.17 delivered, works out at £9.27 a litre, and saves me having to drive to Morrisons.

£36.72 for 4 litres ..... That's just over £9 a litre, so was a good deal for me on this occasion, seeing as there is no Morrisons here....

Just found it via google shopping for £35 at another web store.

Yes you have to pay delivery, but my nearest Morrisons is 20 minutes away and 20 minutes of my time is worth about £20 so better to pay delivery!!

The one in costco is Mobil 1 fully synthetic 0-40 which is about £23 for 4 or 5 litres

costco aint got it at the moment and i tryed 4 morrison near me and none had any , got it in makro in the end ( 4 littres) £35 + vat i think, but i needed it then and the price was mearly not a rip of so i made, do bp is 18.99 per littre.

Costco don't always stock the same items. Because they have a lot of storage space in the warehouses they pick up many lines when a supplier offers them x pallets of stuff they need to get rid of quickly for various reasons, therefore they get it relatively cheap. If it's only a few pallets it might only go into a couple of the stores so stock also varies depending on where you are.

I'm going on Sunday, I'll have a look what oil they've got in at Haydock.

I am with the guy who is saying that there is no Edge and never has been.

They have recently started stocking magnatec 5W-30 with the usual magnatec 10W-40

The 5W-30 is just under £20 and a twin pack of 10W-40 is about £30

Yes they were - several of us saw it with our own eyes. It was in shrinkwrapped 3x1 litre packages, and was 5w30.
