I have a 24" DGM, but after a tax refund and a growing interest in Photoshop work have decided to get something better and bigger.

What would you recomend for something around the 30" or bigger for a photographic type work screen?

Less than £1500 please.

I could be completely wrong about this, but for your budget 30inch is about as big as you can go while maintaining a good resolution (over 1360x786)
Offerings from the likes of Dell with their 3007 is probably about as good as your going to get, and still have a decent chunk of change left. You could always get another one in the future!
I've tried 1920x1080 using a 32inch LCD TV (latest panasonic viera freesat hd ones) through the pc, and while it does look very impressive, it's not quite up to Monitor standards.

Any of the 30" IPS offerings I guess.

Dell, Hazro or Apple Cinema, it really doesn't matter much which, they're all the same LG H-IPS panel.

This i reckon.

I doubt theres going to be much difference between the major 30"'ers.

Just pick the one you most like the styling of i guess.

If you want standard gamut get the Apple, it's an older panel than the Dell or Hazro but will be easier to calibrate and will not require colour managed apps to get the most out of it.
