street fighter 4 on pc!!!

on a fighting game note....what can i buy today? i would love a version of soul caliber!

Not much for the PC. Stick to the consoles for this genre.

Otherwise, look deep on the interweb for some awesome Japanese doujin made games, or ports of some of the older Street Fighter games i.e. SF Alpha 2, from like over a decade ago.

SEGA's Virtua Fighter and Virtua Fighter 2 also have PC versions but these are OLD! Though great classics and still some of the best.

There is an official PC port of Guilty Gear XX #Reload, one of the best and most underrated 2D based and weapons fighting games out there.

And of course, there is also the likes of MAME, Kawaks or Nebula emulators.

no doubt it will be a piece of poo like all the other street fighters for non arcade machines.

street fighter 2 turbo on arcade is the king. go get mame

It's not actually physically possible to play this with a keyboard is it?

You can play any fighting game available on the PC with the keyboard, its just not as good and precise, or you may just end up breaking it in sheer frustration. Say goodbye to some of the keys which you may use, they'll probably never be able to type properly ever again :D.

Piracy that's why + likely under pressure from sony and microsoft to delay it for pc so they make the most money from it as possible.

Same reason EA has abandoned the pc and gives us old gen graphic ports of fifa and other games.

:(

For something thats probably gonna be a 360 port i dont get why the delay, surely they cold have been all out on the same day.

Because like Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4 which also had a wide release gap between the Console and PC versions, Capcom are actually putting their effort into a quality port (Hopefully!), as they are actually doing it themselves and not leasing it to a third party like their other previous older games. The terrible ports of Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 3 PC versions as a huge example.

Obviously the Console versions will get the most priority as that is where their main customer base will be. With the PC side, they will probably have to rework a few things, like support for higher resolutions, reworking online play for PC servers etc.

Be glad that Capcom even considered and invested their resources in doing a PC version for this, especially as they are one of the few Japanese companies to do so.

Guys the arcade sf4 runs on a pc not hard to port it it's put back because of piracy.

And you forget that there needs to be enough compatibilty for the different range of hardware configurations that many PC users have. Otherwise you may just get an unoptimised game even on the most high powered PCs. Its not just about piracy as there are many other reasons too.

About the delays: Surely this can't continue like this? Sony and Ms bribing game developers to wait with the pc releases? Why can't Nvidia and AMD bribe them too to make pc exclusives again? Oh wait, of course, nvidia and amd are profiting from console sales too . Surely they make less profit on outdated x1800xt and 7900GT chips compared to HD4870X2 and GTX295's though?
