Advise - headset with mic

Hi all,

Whats known to be the best USB headset with mic at the moment?

Wife gets bloody grumpy to say the least at "the noise!!!" when im gaming so im looking for a decent usb headst/mic combo.

Im looking at the type that fit over the ears (not the ones that plug into your ears), are not too heavy and that are comfortable.

i got a logitec set from a well known pc shop for £5 does the job.

fit over your ears and behind your head (not on top)

You need to give a budget.

Personally I'd avoid gaming headsets like the plague and get a decent set of Sennheisers/Goldrings or similar. Then a cheapo clip on mic if you need one.

i really like them but a lot of people on here slate them.

i had the previous version 2, again really liked them.

I've had my Fatality headset for about a year and It's just started to break. Sound is only coming out of one channel until i wiggle the jack cable a bit

I have the Fatality, it is great! even if your ears do get a bit "warm" after a few hours of gaming!

Another vote here for the fatailtys but i have recently got the meduseas and they are also awesome if you have a 5.1 sound card.

It takes a few hours and tweaking to get the sound right with the meduseas but once you do its hard to go back.

Ended up getting a pair of Razer Megalodon Elite 7.1 Surround Sound USB Gaming Headset. 2D & bass nice. The 7.1 3D sound is not so nice, sounds very muffled and as a result use 2D all the time. Save your money on these guys.
