Does anyone else find these adverts extremely cringeworthy. Sat here actually watching TV for a change on my laptop and I swear this advert has been on 5 times in the past hour.

It's full of cringeworthy actors and yea it's just annoying me, anyone else seen it?

It's the one with the pregnant women and the old couple.

Maybe it's just me it irritates.

EDIT : Just changed channel, OMG it's on again!

Yer I really don't like it.

The actor playing the advisor really needs to learn some new hand movements, he uses the same gesture whilst talking in every scene.

That's the thing would you let any Natwest muppet into your home. I don't think so but I bet a lot of people would in trust that Natwest are "taking care of things" ;)

Helpful banking? They lost my ISA transfer forms twice, posted me someone elses bank details then tried to say none of it ever happened. After 3 months my cash turned up and I'm finally on the deal I signed up with (although they have to do it manually with me checking in each month) but I get nothing for the 2 months of chasing I've had to do. They are awful with their own money and their customers (similar happened to a friend who uses them for business). "Another way?" is spot on, find another bank!

You have to laugh at anyone who goes to a bank for financial advice.
For Average Joe though, where else should he go? The 'financial advisors' who for the last few years have been selling the contents of their toilets in the never-ending hope of commission? (I don't know the answer so not being argumentative, just querying)

A proper advisor / accountant would likely not be worth it for Joe....I think Natwest have the right kind of idea here, and they're certainly offering much better products than Lloyds for example - last I checked my Lloyds ISA paid a pathetic 1.something% and Natwest were paying 3%+ - madness.

I suppose the answer is for people to do their own research. Google + common sense is a powerful combination!

Money Saving Expert f.t.w. A lot of good information on there.

For most people the problem is probably that they over-think and over-complicate things or don't spend the time with a calculator to figure things out correctly....and also listen to their bank's "deals" without shopping around.

Strange how people tend to stick with banks but nobody minds switching away from any other company eg. gas? (Well - not so much - infact perhaps the same applies there too...)

Aye, awesome site that. Would never have found ICICI otherwise :)

It's funny how the banks are getting all friendly now when before it was all very complex, very detailed, but oh yes just give us all your money and we'll look after the Complicated Things for you....

Maybe they've figured out that actually, they can't, and all they've ever worked for is worth about £1.50.
