Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Had a blast at Hardest again, managed to do it with about 3 losses.

I like the challenge but it's nothing on some decent multiplayer. You pretty much have to block everything and time your ultras or you'll get whipped. Beat the game with all characters now, so it's on to multiplayer :cool:

EDIT: Fought my first annoying ranked yesterday.. guy was spamming fireballs with Sagat trying to keep me on the floor. It was best of 5 too, so it was really tiresome fighting the cheap tactics.

I won, but still..

Misuse of a cliched expression? Sure it did :p

Playing with a reasonably high BP is depressing. win-win-win-win-lose and you're back to where you started :(
 
the netcode is good, when its good is really really good but as with any beat em up, if there is any visible lag then it changes the game completely (im not even joking).

they need to sort out rank games though, its impossible to join game and most of the time you dont know what your up against connection-wise.

agree, i find its just better to host and wait and see wot there connection is rather than just guessing
 
I only pick 3 or 4 bar matches, although as people have said there are a lot of the no bars just flashing. I see a fair amount of 4 bars though, never once seen a 5.

I chose Ken initially and he is my best fighter, I try to mix it up, would really like to learn a charge fighter but seriously just can't get the charge down so always end up going back to Ken. Annoyingly my best mate has bought the game for his 360 (I'm PS3) so won't be able to play each other.

You reckon we'll ever see a cross network game? PS3 vs 360?

When I finally do get a game its invariably against a Ken scrub who quits at the first sign of losing.

And have ken's stupid face to stare at. My heart sinks when an opponent picks him.

I'd be happy to do a custom search and pick a game with a decent connection but the search takes too long and even then the match I pick probably won't be available. So I spam quick match and take my chances with the lag but its hardly ideal. HDR has better matchmaking.

Just got the 5 ranked wins in a row award, rather frustratingly i actually got 7 wins in a row but two of them disconnected just before the end. I bet i lose before i make it to 10 though... :(
