Vauxhall Corsa

I'd say gearing plays an equally large part tbh

Blatantly either overreading or lieing.

you could make a 5th gear that does 200mph, but if it doesnt have the bhp to push it that fast, it never will. (unless going down a long steep hill....)

of course, but likewise doesnt matter how much BHP you have if you're gearing is limited to 1st - unless you can rev to 38k rpm

i got my wee punto to 105 indicated, even though the top speed was 96, 9 years ago when it left the factory, and it had never had a proper service in its life by the ridiculous owner before me, and considering it had like 55bhp, it had probably lost a lot of those.

I've done about 90 in it on the motorway trying to keep up with my mums car (lol), but Im scared to try anything faster because the wheels might fall off LOL :D

I've done 130 loads of times on the motorway. Thats in my 1.2 16v Corsa.

Oooooooohhhh you said miles per hour not kilometres lol

The speedo will be out by a fair margin at that sort of speed. 130 would be more like 110-115 at a guess.

It's wreckless and annoying that people will attempt to drive at such stupid speeds in such inappropriate cars.

I quite agree, tbh theres few places on our roads for pretty much any car to attempt such a rate of knots....:(
