First time trying to take pictures of animals properly, a dull day did not help as well. Key take away points is to meter light better (in situations where the subject is in front of a bright light source to get the correct EV compensation etc) and to try to up the ante in sharpness (when I started to use a Gorillapod near the end it helped a lot)

nice :D I personally found london zoo a bit dissappointing - I've been to better ones. At least they are working hard to make the animal enclosures better - It's a pretty old place.

Yeah, it was my first time there believe it or not (been in London since 2002), it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. A lot of the animals looked depressed, maybe it was the weather or something. The big cats and Hippo were hiding unfortunately.

This one is a bit soft but love the expression!

London Zoo does a lot of rehabilitation and vetinary practice. I'm unsure, but i think it's foremost a "research" centre as it were. ZSL own Whipsnade also, which is a far more impressive park. Whipsnade is where they take the animals that have outgrown or are too large for the other zoos.

nice pics :)
