Best cam for £200

Does it have to be second hand or new? Compact or SLR? Can you play with the budget a bit?
If its a compact you are looking for I know the Canon Powershot series have always been popular. My other half has the A95 and it is a nice little camera.
If you can bang another £20 on top of that £200 you can get a Canon Powershot A1100 IS Digital Camera.
21.1 megapixels
4000 x 3000 pixels image size.
4x optical & digital zoom.
Face & Motion detection.
Although I am fairly new to the photography field it looks like a nice little camera

I suspect you mean 12.1 megapixels
In honesty I think 'the best' varies very much depending on what you want to use to for, if you want it to be compact or you are willing to trade pocketableness for features. Give us a bit more information
