Oooh a dating question!

I know, to be honest this new thing has moved really quickly. He's asked me to meet his family etc and asked if it's ok that he refers to me as his girlfriend. Normally if something were to move this fast I'd be a bit scared off, but as corny as it sounds, this one just feels 'right'

Asked to meet family after just a few weeks? *Starts alarm bells* :)

Sounds like a desparado that found you weren't a pushover and legged it. And the chances of finding a guy that really wants a relationship rather than just to act out his favourite pron with you on a dating site are pretty slim love sorry.
Better luck next time I'd say :)

Hehe, did you actually read what you quoted?

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but how long should you date a chick before you're able to consider her your girlfriend? I've been married (until 7 months ago) the last 4 1/2 years, so I'm sort of not used to this whole dating thing lol.

I've been seeing a lovely girl for about a month now...when should I ask if she'll be my gf?
My boyfriend just said it out right - we'd not been seeing each other long and he was musing aloud about what he should refer to me as when talking to friends or relatives who didn't yet know about me - I stopped dead in the street, pulled him back and said I was very happy to be called his girlfriend, if he'd have me :)

Tisonlyme you sound really desperate.

One minute you are getting in a flap about a text from a dating site bloke, nanoseconds later you are with another guy, meeting his parents, and thinking he is "the one"

Munky1080, you dont ASK her if you are her boyfriend, you TELL her!

Sometime women need taken control of, they wont admit it, but its true.

Can I have you?

Can I have you?
Afraid I'm happily taken, pet :)

tisonlyme - just tread carefully love, ok? Sounds like it might be something very nice you're heading into, but be careful and don't go too fast or you might find yourself feeling trapped and guilty and unable to easily back out after you get to know him properly.

Oops wrong Picard pic :D

lol just trying to work out the volume of alarm bells ;) If the answer is 3 weeks then volume could just be medium, 2 weeks or less= VERY loud :D

Hehe, its been 2 and a half weeks now I think, so medium/loud :p But I am being careful, and I haven't actually said yes to meeting his family yet, I want to leave that for a bit

I'd put money on him being gay and using you to "show" his friends and family that he isn't.

Dont mean to sound pessimistic, but I have seen it happen before.

Next you are going to tell me that you really connect, and he's sweet and sensitive!
