Off snowboarding in California !!

Think next year I'll get organised for a multi-trip. This year it was just Tignes :/ great weather and the hotel was good and well positioned (could ski back to the other side of the road so not quite ski-in/out but good none the less :))

Just got back the other day - amazing place and had sooooo much snow!!! :D
Once the storm cleared from the morning:

Just had my skis edged and waxed and treated myself to some new boots ready for Austria at the weekend :)

Heh, the pic reminds me that when we went my mates were all getting amped up to stay fit while we were there (quite why they thought that a day of boarding wasn't enough I don't know...) but I arrived at one friends house for a logistics and planning session to have them tell me that they were planning on running a lap of the lake every morning, needless to say I was literally ROFLMAO :D

Was in Switzerland beginning of Feb, now i'm off to Austria in a couple of weeks.

Never been twice in a year before, so excited! :D

I've got a long weekend off at the end of the month, anyone got any suggestions for somewhere that's likely to have decent snow and is accessible via Easyjet/Ryanair without too much travelling once I land?

I went snowboarding in Austria for the first time last month. Was amazing :D

Clear sky saturday, snow all day Sunday!
You really can't beat the view from the top of a mountain :)

chamonix is worth a look as only just over an hour from geneva airport (sleazy goes there not sure about Ryan et al), snow base is in good shape

also from geneva you could head to port du soleil, lower resorts like chatel could be riskyish by then although probably fine (but it's a very easy transfer / drive) and you can be in Avoriaz in a couple of lifts if you needed to be higher

I've been to Heavenly at Tahoe. I hope you got the 7 resort pass that lets you ski the surrounding area! You NEEEED to go to Squaw Valley on the other side of the lake and try the KT-22 express lift. It's one of the steepest lifts\runs in the world.

BRILLIANT PLACE.
