hydroxycut - any one used it?

I have been losing weight for the past 6 months, and getting very close to my normal BMI.

My weight loss is getting harder now I have shifted 3 stone. I am now 14.5 stone, I was 17.5 stone. (6ft3)

To help me lose the last bit of weight I have been looking in to some fat burners, I really want to reach my goal weight of 13.5 stone before summer starts.

Has anyone got any experiance of fat burners? Any recomendations? I have heard ephedrine is brilliant, but also dangerous!
 
Ephedrine isn't dangerous if used correctly, and assuming you don't suffer from high blood pressure / heart conditions. However, it will only increase your BMR by something like 8%. I've used it in the past, and found that I actually got on better taking just caffeine - the extra boost during training allows you to train that little bit harder.

Plus, taking ephedrine may well make you fell weird for hours afterwards!

I once took a product years ago which was a mix of caffine and eph, and my appitite went completly. I am half tempted to give it a try again.

I dont have high blood pressure, I exercise three times a week so hopefully I should be OK.

Does anyone else here take eph - what are you experiances?
 
I wouldn't bother with hydroxycut, it's the herbal equivalent of ECA (ephedrine/caffeine/aspirin). The tabs are huge and the effect is negligible. Just get some ECA.
Don't take it too late in the evening or you may have difficulty getting to sleep :p

Congrats on shifting 3 stone in 6 months too.

Where can I buy ECA? Or do you mean just buy separatly?

you are saying you want to lose 1st. i guess that you are looking to lose that 1st as fat.
What is your current body fat %? from that you can see how much fat you actually want to lose.

Oh, I see. I have no idea my body fat % - I did have it done at gym a few months ago and was 25% or something, I could find out I have it on my desktop but on laptop right now.

I have actually just bought some electronic scales which are supposed to measure % fat, but they have not arrived yet. I will report back when they come, althought I hear they are not too accurate.

scales that measure bf% are not worth the money you pay their really effected by hydration and generally crap

Yeah have heard this.

I was told doing it first thing in the morning is best, as generally your hydration will be fairly constant then.

I was told it depends how much food you have in your body too, but taken that I am on a stable/strict diet - this shouldnt alter to much!

The one I have always shows me over 30% BF :)
 
prolly nearer 30 m8, at 20% you wont have a gut but youll wobble if you jump @ about 15 you'll be what most would call lean, you wont be able to 'pinch an inch' at about 12 you will have abs showing and at about 10 youll look like you average health model, post a pick, relaxed shot not holding in and i can give you a good geustimate.
 
If I'm 30 so be it, not a big deal :)
I've been bulking since xmas where I was 75kg. I would say it's only in the last month or so I've been pushing for the heavier weights so don't really want to start cutting back yet.
You reckon I might have put too much weight on in too short a period?

Edit: I guess I'll see how much weight I lose when the time comes... hopefully not all of it!

I could drop a fair bit of carbs I reckon but don't you find it quite hard to keep the calories up without the carbs/fats? There's only about 100~ calories per 100g of chicken and I think red meat is fairly similar.
There's nearly 400 calories per 100g of pasta though;/
That's a lot of meat and poultry to be eating for my target of 2970 calories.
Will have to see what else I can do, thanks.
