Bar the way I've worded it, the title is actually serious.

Im looking for a new mouse; its got to be wireless as I'd like the option to use it with my new Plasma monitor/tv, and have at least one preferably 2 thumb buttons (I'm using a Logitech MX518 at the moment, and I find I do use the side buttons quite a lot!)

Ideally I dont want to spend a huge amount; but as its going to be used for gaming, as low a response time as possible, and possibly an internal, replaceable chargeable battery would be good.

I have a cheap logitech wireless that came with a keyboard set, which is OK, but occasionally just drops out and isnt as sensitive as I'd like (I'm used to 800dpi equiv mice)...

Suggest away!

I've been using the microsoft wireless laser mouse 6000 v2 for a while now for browsing and general mousey stuff and i cant fault it. its really comfy and all teh buttons are in the right place for me. Completely useless when it comes to gaming though.

I got one of those to replace an ageing corded MX510, I gave up with it and currently use an ageing corded MX510.

Hahaha lmao, thats brilliant!

My budget is really under £50 where possible, it hurt enough spending as much as I did on my mx518 (£40 at the time)

My last two mice were the MX510 and 518 so I do like the logitech shape; just this wireless cheap one isnt perfect and doesnt have the buttons for me, as I really like the thumbtrigger buttons :P

One i would not recommend is the Logitech LX8.
Got one cheap from a local shop and wish i hadn't bothered.
Range was only about 24" and back and forward buttons was to loose, took it back and swapped it for a MX518. Its not cordless but is a good mouse.

Yes the MX518 is a very nice mouse; shame they dont do it as a wireless version :)

Also to note (have added to the op), I need about 3m range on the mouse, without droputs... I know some have better wireless than others (for example the LX8 as mentioned above is worse).

Ideally I dont want to have range dropout issues!

Based on some reviews I just read RE the charger, the range... and the fact I've payed most of my bills this month and still have plenty for food and petrol; I decided to go for the MX Revolution.... Just hope its not too small, but otherwise, with the thumb buttons et all it looks perfect for what I need...just not going to mention the price unless I have to as that hurts!

Well the MX revolution arrived, and I'm happy to say it's very nice. Seems to drop out very rarely, except when it loses contact with the surface its on, and seems reasonably sensitive. No complaints really, except I dont like thinking about the price!

just get a cheap cord mouse theres plenty

If you'd read the OP you'd realise I already have a decent corded mouse (MX518), but need a wireless one.

If you fancy something a little cheaper than the MX Revolution have a look at the MX1100 (also available rechargable MX1100R). I find it better than the MX Revolution (although there isnt a huge amount of difference between them, so its a personal choice)

Edit: Bah didnt see that you already got a MX Revolution :P

Got the plasma a few weeks ago and didnt want to wait a few weeks to use it easily :) Luckily the MX seems well made so hopefully when it comes round to replace it, wireless mouse/kb tech will have got better and cheaper :)
