earthquake folkestone

Am I just being paranoid but we never used to get earthquakes in England is this somesort of indication of global tectonic instability?

Something must have formed all these damn hills in this country... right?

To be fair to him they were generally formed about 400 million years ago.:p

Just because we aren't on a plate boundary doesn't mean we won't have earthquakes. There are plenty of big active faults (not as big as San Andreas obviously) underneath and around the UK, and that doesn't include other causes of earthquakes.
