Had my CPU cooler for a long time now and fancy a change to get temps down a bit. I use an AM2 CPU, 3.2 and a Thermalright SI-128 Heatsink with Noctua fan on it. So, looking to get a great Heatsink and don't mind using my existing 120mm Noctua fan.

Any ideas guys? Cheers

TRUE I think is too expensive.

Why not Akasa Nero it keeps my e2180 OCed @ 3.36Ghz Idle/Load:25/50

It will keep your CPU chilled. It also has won the CustomPC Premium Grade Award.

BTW, it's CHEAP as chips!

I had the Vendetta 2 on my old q6600 and was perfectly happy with it. Like Edleake said, it is very good for the cooling, if a little noisier than some of the more expensive ones. If I remember correctly it ran at load under 40.

I have heard good things from a friend about the V8 and believe the V10 is out but don't know if anywhere has it yet. It is quieter than your average case fan from what I have heard and keeps C2Q's very cool under fairly substantial OC's.

I am currently using the Noctual NH-U12P 1366 Version on my i7 and it seems to be doing a pretty good job for me so far. I'm still experimenting with my clocks but I haven't reached a temp i'm not happy with yet.

That's just what I have been through in recent history regarding coolers, hope it helps you make your decision.
