Hi guys I'm trying to find an amp that I can conect to my pc/tv(KDL32V4000), at the moment I'm just using a set of 2.1 speakers that are, well useless to say the least. I have the 3.5m to RCA phono lead going from my pc to the speakers, what I'm trying to find is an amp that doesn't cost an awful lot, probably £100 would be my maximum that can facilitate my needs. I've already got a set of Tannoy F1 speakers, just waiting on the stands to be delivered. I don't know an awful lot about sound systems hence my long post but if anyone has any suggestions I'd be thankful!

For £100 you should be looking into the second hand market at the very least. The F1's are capable speakers so if you can, i would suggest saving a little and looking at something like the sony 820 (assuming you're going to add to the f1's in the future for full surround). If not, you can get a very capable stereo amp for £100.

Thanks for the advice, I can see your logic. I thought I might have got away with spending £100 to do the job but looking at the Sony 820 seems like the better idea as I will be buying another set of F1's in the not too distant future, thanks for the advice!

+1, in fact you may get a deal since new Sony STR-DN1000 Amp will replace the 820 soon - looks very much like Pio's imo, not a bad thing.
