Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

I played Ojste last night and got a hiding, I need practice on pretty much the entire game!
I hope my stick arrives soon, had to grab a Subsonic in the end, it was all that was available. I'll probably sell it on when a Hori becomes available again, but in the meantime it'll be better than a D Pad.
Doing Guile's Super/Ultra reliably with a D Pad requires some serious dexterity!

Do not jump in the air for the love of god. Stay grounded and try to cross over and take him from behind. lol

Actually, I was Sagat, so the best damage I was inflicting was from his awesome flying punch. I need to get my head around the focus stuff really, it's pretty key to becoming a decent fighter.

Yo can you let me know how the subsonic stick is? As I can't take using the D-Pad anymore lol. Will probably get a hori when there back in stock aswell, but if you could let me know what the subsonic is like would be much appreiciated.
 
I'm still having trouble performing a crouching hard punch into a shoryuken. It thinks the down I'm holding to do the crouching punch is part of a super but i just want to do left down left. not down left down left.

Plus when i come out of doing a standing heavy punch I always ending having the crouching punch blocked.

Man, I just went on a horrible losing streak. For whatever reason I couldn't play tonight, ended up dropping around 300bp. In training I'm fine and most of the time I can pull off Sagat's tiger uppercut>FADC>f+hk>Ultra but when it comes to a match I resort to the same old tired tactics and completely forget all I've learnt, throw too many heavy uppercuts, whiff my ultra and lose. Very frustrating. Wanted to chuck my hori out the window.

had an okayish streak recently and got up to around 2300BP, dropped back to about 1950 now though :(

On another note, does anyone know if the sticks are starting to come back into stock anywhere yet?
 
Most stores still say apr/may.
I did have one storem state they were getting stock weekly but when I asked futher they wouldn't answer with a straight reply. this on top of the fact they take payment on order and not on shipping means I aint giving them any money :p They wouldnt even confirm if it would take less than 2month lol

A german section of a popular online store might be shipping some beginning of next month I hear tho.

Will do, I should have it by the end of the month at worst.
If I subsequently get a Hori I'll try and do a comparison review type thing before selling on the Subsonic.

I think I will be putting up my te stick on sale today once I decide where.

No way can I justify keeping it with my dad just being made redundant ;/
Barely used the thing and have near enough adjusted to using the normal pad again, going to keep an eye out on those hori sticks when they drop back down in price again.

Thus my stick has now been purchased for a princely sum of 225 english pounds :D

Not if Madcatz make some more they won't. Maybe not with the SFIV branding but they could easily drop the price a bit and remarket them. Anyone thinking of selling I'd sell now, theres a shortage of sticks in this country and coupled with the hype surrounding SFIV its driving up prices. I'm tempted to sell my hori tbh.

I don't think they'll gain much value. The crazy prices came from the hype bomb of the SFIV launch, which is gradually falling off.
 
omg this game online is doing my head in.

sick of people doing the same moves over and over and over again, why does no one do combos omggggg

play vs zangief - spin spin spin spin throw spin spin, yawn. play vs ryu = jump kick sweep, jump kick sweep, ken, dragon punches.. after drgaon punches...

does anyone know there are other buttons?!?!
