Ive got a TomTom Go 730 with bluetooth handsfree calling.

The tomtom website says the iphone 3g is compatibile, but i cant for the life of me get it working. I turn bluetooth on the iphone on, then get the tomtom to scan for devices and it says it cant find any.

What am i doing wrong ?

as far as i can work out from my iphone, go into settings - general - bluetooth and turn it on, it should do 'searcing' and say Now Discoverable. I think you then search from the tomtom while its saying this, and it should find it.

Otherwise, no idea.

If tomtom says it works then it should work as they are usually pretty conservative when it comes to stateing whether a device is compatible. I've successfully used tom tom on a couple of phones that it claims it will not work on.

Do it the other way around? Make the Tomtom discoverable and then search for bluetooth devices on the iPhone perhaps - I think that's how I paired mine up with my Parrot.

will give this a try. Ive been attempting to pair them on the tomtom, so i'll try on the iphone instead.

Also have the same Tomtom and Iphone 3G (well brother has) and when I paired them I remember having to physically mate them they were that close before they discovered eachother (just the first time).

I have a tomtom one assist 30 series plus a safety alert subscription does anybody know how to get the mobile and average speed cameras to be recognised. This kit does not have a bluetooth connection.
