What to look for/value of Jaguar X Type 3.0

Hi,

I'm looking into buying a Jaguar X Type 3.0 manual saloon on a 53 plate.

Anyone here know much about these? Where do they go wrong/is the 4wd system reliable?

Also- anyone got an idea on price? It's up for £5995, not really fancying paying that though as i'd imagine it's a difficult car to shift in these circumstances!

Well i have one myself, its the 3 litre v6 sport i have. Got it last april, so had it nearly a year. Been 100% relaible, had it services and m.o.t, only thing i have had to replace was both rear suspension control arms. Mine is a 2002 and has done 69k miles.

I looked at one years ago until i drove it, almost fell asleep and the mpg was pretty pants.

Then tried A4 3.0 Quattro, same story. Settle on a 330i instead as much more fun and weirdly more economical.

In all honesty unless u have some weird need for 4wd i would look at a ST220 as far better car for the money if you ask me although slightly, ever so slightly slower.
