I was like "WTF?! £500 for an i7 setup" then I realised that it wasn't a whole system :p

This might tempt me to build a new machine (have been using Macs for many years).

What would be a decent graphics card to go with this, that could handle current games but not cost the Earth?

It's £7.82 cheaper than if you bought the parts seperately. Hardly an "Ultimate Bundle"

myself and Locky specced and assembled this bundle this morning as being the affordable way to get i7 with all of the perks
  • a good overclock
  • a quiet cooler
  • 6gb of ram at low latancies

yes you are paying £7.82 less for the bundle :o

BUT

you get it pre overclocked by the OcUK tech department

it is a guaranteed overclock that you do not have to worry about

if something goes wrong you get full technical support from the systems support team and a point of contact you would not get if you were to purchase parts seperatly

and you get one of our installation and overclocking guides

for 500 quid - i fail to see anything about this bundles that isnt pretty ultimate

yes it has no power supply and no graphics card, etc - but its i7 - be realistic

the pricing is generous for the amount of work put into it :)

Is this a limited time offer? My computer is on its way out, but I don't want to splurge on a new rig until mid-April at the earliest.

I would like to know this also, looking to buy my system in 2-3 weeks, jyst want to know the predicted lifetime of this bundle ? :P

anyone rather cynically read this as "no ones buying this crap cooler because theres literally miles better ones for a similar price, lets stick it in a bundle to get rid of them"?

Yes its cheaper than separate, but only if you buy a cooler that really, people needing/wanting a overclocked i7 setup don't want and will then go and buy another one, if its from you guys, great, if not theres no reason to be doing it.

Why not stick it in with a tower cooler, infact do two bundles one with a smallish tower cooler that will fit in almost any case, and the ultimate bundle can have the ultimate cooler in, and become a bundle people would actually really want to buy, and can save money on. IE, do the bundle with a TRUE, or a Tuniq at least.
