85 Million mega jackpot !?

WTF that was the worst lucky dip ever. I thought it was supposed to be random! All 4 lines share about 3 of the same numbers.

Then again I guess even 1,2,3,4,5 (6,7) has an equal chance of coming out as say 20,3,5,44,32 (2,9)

I only really play on big draws and only £1.

Here's to hopefully a win! And if I do win then everyone in this thread can have absolutely nothing :p I'd do something for charity with it and put the rest towards a family home and become one of the first few people to go on a space tourist flight :D
 
I wouldn't donate it to charity, but I would set up my own charity and consider that my employment. I would throw a lot of money into medical research though as in the long run that benefits everyone else.

The rest would be a life of luxury though :D

You best hope that 1,2,3,4,5 (6,7) doesn't come out if they are your numbers. The only statistic the Lotto ever realised on peoples numbers was the fact that if 1,2,3,4,5,6 came out on the British Lotto there would be over 20000 winners sharing the Jackpot so even a biggish one of £7m would give you just £350 each :(

Very true, luckily the lucky dip didn't spit that out.

Next time I might be a geek and write my own VB programme to do the job for me.
 
Ive just gone on a mad one and got myself 4 tickets for Euro Millions, i think i might win tonight.

How many do you have to get to win any money??? i dont know the rules.

You need to get 5 numbers across each of your 5 tickets... Hang on a minute now you can't win. You are a ticket short :o.
 
Exactly what I did... 4 tickets, £6 and the worst lucky dip ever.

I've won £10 a few times, in fact it's quite common so you may get something back. Good luck anyway!
 
The other thing to do to maximise your payout (not your chances of winning) is avoid numbers 31 and below especially 1 - 12. The reason is so many people use birthdays to pick their numbers.

We used to have a lottery syndicate at the place I used to work and we put £50 a week on it. I had a program which picked numbers between between 32 and 49 on a spread over the 50 lines.

When we won (which was often) the payouts were much bigger eg always over £100 for 4 numbers and 5 numbers gave £4k-£6k yet when there were weeks when very low numbers came out you saw the winnings drop to £30 for 4 and maybe just over a grand for 5 numbers.

All numbers have an equal chance of coming up so try and maximise your return if you are lucky enough to win.

Also avoid numbers which make a pattern on the cards used for slecting numbers eg letters or rows or columns. A state lottery in USA had 6000 winnners one week as the numbers made a perfect W on the selection card. Guess their names all began with W.

you can't win £10 at all on the euromillions

if you get 2 numbers and 1 lucky star or 1 number and 2 lucky stars you'll likely win between £6-8

Different combinations of anything greater come with an increased prize, upto 5 numbers and 2 stars being the jackpot
