Buy Now @ just £499.99 Inc VAT

its running prime now in the tech department for 4 hours+ and just knocking mid 70's

thats on 3.3ghz

not the best then, i think most people will want a better cooler

They are welcome to buy one - the idea for this bundle was performance/ value. They can have a diamond encrusted nuclear powered cascade system if they pay for it :D

70 degrees is a fine temp under full load on air on an OC'ed i7 quad m8 ;) I don't think its fair to judge the UKs cheapest price on half a grands worth of bleeding edge hardware based on a £20 heatsink ;)

We could strap big coolers to this bundle, then there would not be no point to this bundle as it would'nt be under £500 notes.

I would think the people who would have the money to enter the i7 are really not going to to bothered if you up the price a bit and bolt on a true or something or even make it an option like 2 prices. i know that cooler would stop me buying it might as well buy seprate, it's like buying a new ferrari and saying infact ill have the 15" steel rims with it please. :p

my i7 runs at 80'c on water at 4.3GHz

its fine

the gelid cooler is like the i7 equivalent of an arctic freezer 7

it does the job -

as AndyOcUK says - it does the job - and its under £500

i think you would struggle to find somewhere else with

  • an i7 chip
  • a good motherboard
  • 6gb of decent memory
  • a solid - pre set-up overclock
  • telephone based technical support from experienced overclockers
  • and a cooler that does the job

for under £500 notes?

Check the bundles section - there already bundles meeting those specs - feel free to click the buy button ;) As already stated, this bundle is based on Performance/ Value with a tasty overclock applied under full warranty with all the hard work done for you.

There really is no pleasing some people is there....;)

its a complete bundle that has been designed to work well together

the point of it is that the clock works well with what is provided

if you wanted to add an uprated cooler then fine - if you didnt want the cooler - you could sell it on - you would still have the base system which is great on its own

but the cooler works - just because its a new brand and hasnt got 'thermalright' plastered on it, doesnt mean it isnt good

we primed the bundle all day and all last night - it didnt go above 80'c

which for i7 is perfectly acceptable

****!

Id just discovered ocuk when planning on buying a new system, initially i had an £800 bugdet, i had some builds made for me and thought id give it a try myself, so i wonder off over the next few days making some posts and asking some questions, checking out some hardware testssss and FINALLY when ive had every question answered and settled on a nice £1300 system with a phenon II x2 4870's 8 gig of ram - i see this!!!

Curse you ocuk!!!

Just kidding, im like a kid in a toy store, im having so much fun lol :( Now i need to go do some research on i7's for a gaming system, i know they arent the best for gaming, but with this bargain deal it must be looked in to :D

You're missing the point mate. ALL the components are available on the site separately.

Customers have the option of buying whatever cooler they want.

As stated MANY times, its a BUDGET BUNDLE. Cheap and does the job simple as that. It is unfair to apply your comments to such a bundle....you are baseing your comments on completely the wrong end of the market.;) People who buy Ferrari's don't look at the budget end of the sports car market. Are you in the market for an i7 set up or just picking fault? ;)
