Opera 9.63 is out, I thought I'd create a thread about it..

Aye I was already using it :) . The only reason I tried Opera is because very often in FF pages don't load properly for me. Its similar in IE. In Opera however I'm only limited by my bandwidth. That said, it has some really nice features: I love the Speed Dial and is aesthetically pleasing to this beholder. Though there's a couple of annoyances: one is that it doesnt seem to have autofill (though now I think about it I expect it can be enabled or there is some sort of plugin -- to the Google machine!) Oh and certain pages don't work well with Opera, seemingly it can be overlooked by some web designers.

Care to summarise what changed with 9.64?

Do you mean as in having site usernames and passwords recorded for you so you can login without having to type the details in?

If so, its the Wand you want. There is a wand button you can put onto the toolbar or CTRL+ENTER on a site you've saved details, such as login or post codes etc, for. :)

Quite so. It was right under my nose but had never noticed it. For anyone even lazier than I: Tools --> Preferences --> Wand. Cheers Marc. This will save me quite a bit of time :) .

Trust me when I say I do it all the time. Why do you think I'm the blUnderboss? :D

I've got the wand icon on my toolbar but I very rarely use it. :o Alway prefer the CTRL+ENTER alternative. :)

Question - has the CTRL F5 function been removed? The one where you can refresh every window open?

Yes, but you can recreate it.

Tools > Preferences > Shortcuts > Keyboard Setup > EDIT > Application > New

In the first box type:

CTRL F5

In the second box, search for "Reload all pages".

They've probably changed the shortcuts around. If you look in the Tools/Preferences/Advanced/Shortcuts you might be able to find it and either use the new shortcut or change it back.

i was having a problem in opera 8.63 where going back whileloading a new page would cause opera to crash completely, requiring termination from the task manager.

8.64 seems to have fixed this, so thumbs up to ASA software!
