All non issues really.
Road Quads - for the discerning traveller![]()
I live in Bodmin, Cornwall and have more fields, lanes, bridalways and unsurfaced roads than you can shake a stick at..
'Has nothing to do with looking like an idiot on one ON THE ROAD does it? '
No more than your avarage motorcycle rider, Helmet and gloves does not qualify looking like a Power Ranger..
'Which on a flat road will just make them even harder to steer in tight corners.'
Welcome to the modern age of 4x4 systems, they have lockable, viscous diffs up front so ride the same as a 2 wheel drive on the road
'You can do both of these WITH A CAR, without looking like a moron.'
The OP was asking about quad Bikes. Oh and IIRC Pikies also drive cars :/
'Sounds wonderfully intelligent.'
As do you !!

I have not posted in this thread to argue or get into a heated discussion. I understand that 'Less desirables' may use quad bikes and as such given quad bikes a bad rep. in the media. I am not one of those, I run Quad Response (http://www.quad-response.com Please take a look at what it is we do before slagging us off) and also work with the 4x4 Response Network (Google It) and so can see the benefits of using a quad bike. I do not 'Chav' it about, disregarding the laws of the road. I respect other road users and abide by the law. I wear a Helmet, gloves and a decent pair of boots and strangely enough I look nothing like a Power Ranger

Not too sure about carrying your daughter on the back mate, if you're happy to do this then make sure she has head protection and can reach the foot pegs. Also check with insurance as you will need to be insured to carry a pillion.
