Yes ladies and gentlemen it's that time of year again - it's the greatest horse racing festival of them all. This year is riddling with very hot favourites, least of all Master Minded who's a top price 1/3 to win the Champion Chase on Wednesday.

There's just 6 races tomorrow, feel free to post your picks. Here's mine:

13:30 2m 110yds Class 1 Williamhill.com Supreme Novices Hurdle

A cracking race to open with and Cousin Vinny is the current favourite, a best-priced 11/4 and getting shorter, having been 3/1 on Saturday and is as short at 5/2 elsewhere. My pick here is Go Native, a 10/1 shot. He stays strongly on the run-in if it's a tad on the soft side and I'm expecting him to give Cousin Vinny a real run, especially as CV will come late in the race.

Paddy Power are offering refunds on ALL losing single win and each-way bets if Cousin Vinny wins, to a maximum of £200.

Result: 1st, 12/1

14:05 2m Class 1 Irish Independent Arkle Challenge Trophy

Current favourite is Tatanen at 4/1 top price, however I fancy Calgary Bay (11/2 2f) to land the spoils and give AP McCoy his first winner at the festival. The trip may be a slight concern but if the ground's right and Tatanen fails to live up to the hype then there's none better to capitalise.

Result: 9th, 8/1

14:40 3m 110yds Class 1 William Hill Trophy Handicap Chase

The most open of the day's races, 24 runners in total. Current favourite is Wichita Lineman, a 7/1 shot but as short as 11/2 with Betfred. A very difficult race, but a complete punt here for Reveillez at 33/1. Seems the sort of race an outsider could pinch.

Result: Nowhere (33/1)

15:20 2m 110yrds Class 1 Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle

The Champion Hurdle is Tuesday's biggest race and as much as I hate siding with favourites, I really can't see a thing touching Binocular, currently 15/8 but I'm expecting it to hit as low as 6/4 on the day. Celestial Halo is the 2nd favourite at 8/1 but last time Binocular raced it thrashed the aforementioned and nothing suggests a change in the order here.

Result: 3rd (6/4f)

16:00 3m 7f Class 2 Glenfarclas Handicap Chase

Favourite here is L'ami at 9/4, and that's my pick here. Last time I saw him run in a cross-country event he absolutely stormed home when the even money favourite, and he's such a classy horse. He'll quick happily stay all day and once he hits the front, your money's safe.

Result: 2nd (7/4f)

16:40 2m 4f Class 1 David Nicholson Mares Hurdle

To be fair, I don't know a lot about any of the horses in this race, so my pick is Chomba Womba at 15/2. Favourite is Quevega at 11/4.

Good luck whatever you do :)

Result:

1330 williamhill.com Supreme Novices' Hurdle (2m 110yds)
1. Go Native (Paul Carberry) 12-1
2. Medermit (Robert Thornton) 12-1
3. Somersby (Dominic Elsworth) 40-1

Hope you lot have been paying attention

It is indeed a tad soft, he powered 6 lengths clear but was almost caught by Medermit, held on by 1/2l.

I didnt fair to well in the opener, but backed Tartak in the 2.05 so more than made my money back at 11/1.

Gone for Possol in the 2.40 although have Wichita Lineman in a double with Binocular as well so would be happy either way.

As for the main event, Binocular is the clear favourite but I fancy Ashkazar to spring a surprise. I have looked at Sublimity and Katchit as well, but sticking to Ashkazar.

Good luck with those, all have a decent chance. If those win, pile on L'ami, I'm certain this will romp home without really trying. Ashkazar was my big tip last year and was narrowly beaten into 2nd. Wether he's the same horse this year is a complete unknown.

It was a cracker and thats why I enjoy racing. Im pretty sure of a Binocular win although would win just as much if Ashkazar can pull it off.

How much you got on the double TB?

Chronicle have laid a £100,000-£40,000 bet on Binocular!

I don't often say this but McCoy's ride was questionable there. He asked more from Binocular FAR too late, but on the other hand he probably knows how much the horse has got left in him. Looked like he was cruising 3 out but never really asked until the last. Unlucky mate :(

Just won £250 :D I went through all the horses and put money on the only Indian sounding one i could find (Punjabi) and he came up trumps at 25/1 (when i put the bet on, I think his odds ended up at 22/1)

yay :D

Good reason to pick it...

Surprised L'ami didn't stay on but only 2 could win that race.

My Dad's good at the horses with Placepots and such, and i think last Saturday i told him to put some money on a horse named Indian Spice or something similar at 33-1 but he went with a horse called Dev instead, so he told me next time to follow my gut and not form or anything else.

Seems to have worked this once for me. I've forgotten aobut the countless times it's not worked :(

Why Indian sounding names though? There are many races in horse racing where you can't just pick a horse because you like the name - you might as well throw your money at a tramp. Cheltenham admittedly is different, some horses take to the occasion and put in a stellar performace, but trials for Cheltenham normally went the way they should.
