VAG 1.9 TDi - MPG!

when you say "brim", do you mean until it clicks, or until you can actually see that the fuel is no longer going down, and it's just sitting there, about 5mm from spilling over? coz the latter is brimming for me :p

It's not full until you get petrol on your feet :p

impressive if true.
over the last 2k miles my 330d is averaging just over 34mpg :D

something about that drive being ****ing boring, and then probably an insult thrown in for good measure, although i can't remember it all :p

Motorways are boring anyway weather you're doing 80 or 120, so I don't really see the point in doing over 80 on the motorway...

yeh, i didn't think there was anything wrong with it. how thoughtful of you to remove an OT remark though ;)

Impressive. Best I've seen on mine was 66.2 mpg.

Just fitted a full set of Goodyear F1s and the average has plummeted by about 10mpg...

+1

I just don't bother any more, your average speed doesn't really increase much due to many drivers having poor lane etiquette and MPG suffers badly.

Save it for good roads. And having a holiday home in Snowdonia the evo test track roads are my locals ;)

Managed 73mpg on the way back - 400 miles odd and used talk a tank of fuel. Now I could go fill it up and see how much it cost me!

My 72mpg (indicated) 320 mile trip in my Fabia equated to 59mpg when using the brim method. Not too impressed with the accuracy :)

My brother drives a Bora with a 1.9TDI engine.
He hardly ever seems to need fuel.
Makes me mad as I have to take the vRS in quite often :)
