Hello!

I was wondering, which reasonably quiet 4-Pin CPU Cooler out of the ones that OcUK sells, would be the absolute best one to keep E5200 very cool when overclocked to its max, and it definitely must fit and work with no problems on a Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 Rev2 motherboard???

Thank you for responding.

I have that same combination, I am currently using the stock E5200 cooler, as my Kama Angle looks to big and heavy for the thin boad and my case.

I plan to buy this at some point, but you have to be careful with teh motherboards 4pin connection and I have to make sure my power cable arcs over my cooler, so it may be a little tricky?

Are you running your Blue Ray drive off your second Sata connection?

I also noticed that the board makers have placed the main ATX Power Connector at the left side, making it possible hard to fit some coolers, this is why i've asked here for suggestions on one that should fit.

Ive tried to overclock with the stock cooler but find it a totally rubbish cooler for overclocking.

I`m using one of those SATA to IDE converter adapter things to connect my Blue Ray drive to the boards IDE slot, and that gives me the 2 SATA ports free for my Hard Drives. As SATA is faster than IDE, the Blue Ray drive may not be working at full speed but I haven`t had any problems when burning data onto DVD, Blue Rays or playing Blue Ray movies on my windows.

I think i`ll just get myself one of those Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Coolers as doing quick google search, it seems it should fit and has a lot of good comments too.

Thank you sastusbulbas;)

One thing i was wondering, does the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro have 4 pin fan or 3 pin??? the reason why i'm asking, is because on the pictures on some of the hardware review sites, its showing this cooler as having a 4 pin fan, and some say it has 3 pins, and I would prefer it to have a 4 pin fan, as the Asrock board cpu fan connector is 4 pins as well - and it's also compatible with 3 pin fans, but doesn`t have the fan speed control when using those.

Also according to comments on some sites, thay say the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro comes with ARCTIC MX-2 thermal compound pre-applied to the heatsink, so i take it there would be no point in me taking off the pre-applied thermal compound and replacing it with Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound???

As far as I am aware it's a three pin? I think the OC add states this also?

Are you sure you need four pin for speed control? My fans get noisier when i play games for a long period?

4 pin fan is not really definitely needed as i could just get one of those Zalman Fan Mate 2 Fan Controllers to control the speeds if it has a 3 pin fan.

As Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro comes with ARCTIC MX-2 thermal compound pre-applied to the heatsink, I take it there would be no point in me taking off the pre-applied thermal compound and replacing it with Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound???

Could someone please answer my question above, about the ARCTIC MX-2 thermal compound pre-applied to the heatsink of the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro???

Thank you for responding.

Just to let you know, the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro comes with a 4 pin fan, and fits neatly on the Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 4 pin fan header;)

Ive noticed that the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro comes with pre-applied thermal compound all over the part of the heatsink that makes contact with the cpu, and that is ok for a quad core but i have a dual core cpu, and on here and various other websites recommend putting a very thin line in close proximity to the center of the heatspreader on dual core for for best temps, as instructions on arcticsilver website.

Should i just leave the pre-applied thermal compound as is anyways or should i take off the pre-applied compound and re-apply new MX-2 thermal compound for dual core use???

I bought some more ARCTIC MX-2 thermal compound along with the cooler from OcUK just in case i needed it.

Thanks for responding.
