I too never had any issues with DHL in my area, both sending and receiving packages. However will be interested to see how DPD manage as I've never used/received from them before.

I'm struggling to find a Depot list as well, I see the vans around and i've used them a couple of times on a Warranted repair laptop but no idea where they park up each night.

I'm requesting one now.

I called them and my nearest depot is Peterborough 35 miles away, my DHL and City Link depots are about 1 and 3 miles away :(

This would really suck for me, sorry.

Can you maybe get a list of their depots and post it up.

Good move. Only ordered one thing through DHL but the service was truly terrible. Nearly a week late (on next day delivery), always saying they'd carded me when they hadn't. Atrocious.

This DPD lot can only be an improvement.

oh good, moving from 2 companies (citylink and DHL) which were perfect (in mine, and certainly many other peoples eyes) to a much smaller company which doubtless many people have never had deliveries from before (i've never even heard of them OR seen vans about).

doubtless a cost cutting exercise rather than anything else but what ever, i'll soon find out if they're any good this month.

Have to say but DHL and City Link were pretty faultess for me (I realise that might not be indicative of all), in fact the City Link guy got to know me and always dropped my stuff at the start of his run ;)

I have not experienced any problems with Citylink or DHL in either of my locations.

I did find the DHL delivery tracking very useful for seeing where my delivery was and when I could estimate for it to arrive.

I think they are all much the same to be honest, especially when you are talking about lots of different consignments. You're never going to be able to please everyone.

DPD are cheap. Very cheap in fact, compared to the likes of City Link.

No. DPD are costing us more. I think you'll find they are part of a huge company.

yup, i thought DHL were brilliant, always delivered by 2pm at the latest and the one time i missed a delivery the guy left it with one of my neighbors (instead of doing what ever other company i've used does which is to card me with a blank card ) and put a card through my door clearly marked with the name and address of the neighbor, perfect to be honest.

just because they are part of a 'huge' company doesn't mean they've been seen or heard of before.

i'll have to take your word on the cost part.

edit: and as it is the old parceline then essentially all they've done is what my school used to do, change the name ditch the bad image, still the same old ****

Is there a depot location list for DPD? cant seem to find one on the site.

I stopped using city link as they moved their nearest depot about 25miles away.

They have been heard of before, 2 of us have pointed out that they rebranded (unsurprisingly) from Parceline.

(Think big green van that used to deliver your mums catalogue items if they could be bothered)
