It's obvious, the guy tried to get "sexy time" with Skippy and it all went wrong, so he had to make up this story.

I thought all Aussies were taught to "tie me kangeroo down" from an early age, damn they even made a song about it.
 
quite impressive as kangaroos are meant to be extremely strong and powerful animals. looks like it was very badly injured looking at all the blood in the house. a fully fit one would have kicked his sorry bum.
