Well my mum crashed my clio in a car park over a year ago now, and i havent really thought about doing anything to fix it since then, however it is starting to annoy me seeing scrapes and a dent on the bonnet.

This is what damage is done on the bonnet itself and all of the scrapes that the other driver left when he decided he would reverse away and pull his bumper off in the process

Now how would i go about getting rid of the white marks that are there? As i know the black patches on the bumper will need spraying to cover them.

Also how easy would it be to get the dent out of the bonnet? It is about 7-8cm across 3-4 high and about 1-2cm deep

It'd be cheaper sourcing a new bonnet on an old clio like that.

You going to need paint, primer, sand paper, masking tape, plastic padding,a garage or somewhere to do it out of the elements and lots of effort for and old car.

If you want to do it your self Haynes do a body work repair manual which is a good start if your clueless, also youtube is good as there are a few videos on there.

The paint looks faded too so trying to get match up 18 year old orange/red with a newley repainting bonnet is going to be tricky. Its not that bad just leave it

I had this issue, a 12 year old car which was mint but some idiot ruined one of the rear quarters in a car park and I would cost more than the value of the car to fix. Just polish out what you can and you'll have to forget about fixing it.

Replace the bonnet. Even if you have it painted, the cost of a good condition bonnet will be less than the cost of straightening that one.

Would be a lot easier and cheaper ringing round your local breakers yards to see if any of them have a match. Trying to get a paint match on that would be a right PITA.

The problem is that the paint will not match and will stand out like a sore thumb so it may end up looking worse!

I've had the mirrors and rear spoiler on my car painted and getting the match on 12 yr old red paint is an arse, luckily my car is actually still red and not pink so that helps! :p
