In the sky now...

Looks like it's going across the sky to me.


I am led on the ground trying to keep the camera still and I will agree that the pic does look like it could be horizontal but stood up looking at it, it really does just disappear into space at about 45 degrees.
If I hadn't seen the trail going up I would have though something had entered the atmosphere and hit the deck....
 
They sent up an unmanned rocket from a submarine just off the coast, they are worried about rogue satellites colliding with the launch of the Space Shuttle tomorrow night/Thursday morning.

If it was a distant object and given that most of this forum are UK based, I'd say that it was a reasonable assumption that everyone would look South East... Exactly where the moon would be for EVERYONE in the UK..

Why is that such a "classic LMAO" moment?

I thought that was 01.20 GMT tonight it went up from Canaveral ?
(can't say I've checked though)

I was stood on tiptoe, trying not to get the window frame in shot, and trying to stop the cat jumping out of a second storey window! Also wasn't really trying to take a particularly great photo!
