***Champions League R1 L2 - 10/11th March***

Liverpool did play well, but Madrid made it easy for them. Tonight's game showed just how Spanish sides dont like being closed down. They didn't know what to do because Liverpool gave them no time on the ball.

Thank you. Nice to see someone recognise that performance rather than blame it on our opposition being poor as is usually the case when we win in Europe.

So Real played well tonight then? No they didnt.

Yes, probably the performance of the season but the opposition hardly put up a fight did they?

I agree, you really notice the difference when two styles of play mix, pressured vs relaxed, thats all she wrote.

Liverpool played well, but Real were really poor.

Did Roma play well two years ago? No they didn't! Did anyone focus on how poor they actually were? No they didn't!

Funny how one team gets all the praise in the world for hammering someone yet another hardly gets any. Always the same when Liverpool win in Europe.

You gotta love the media, "Madrid were poor", "Benitez must look very attractive to Madrid" blah blah blah. I acknowledge that Liverpool at times this season haven't deserved credit but just for once and for a brilliant performance that made Madrid look as poor as people are saying, would it hurt to say well played Liverpool instead of trying to engineer nagativity around the club!

I'm not trying to say that Liverpool only played well because of Real's performance, as i also said or intended - it was probably the performance of the season, and not just for liverpool - overall.

I dont remember myself ever commenting on how great Man United were when we beat Roma either, at the CL level any lobsided score is usually due to one team not pulling their weight, if Real were at the top of their game, i am confident regardless of todays performance it wouldnt have been 4-0.

But hey, i'm just a biased man united fan.

This is why I wanted to be drawn against Real. I know we would've spanked 'em.

If liverbore can put 5 past them, imagine what United could've done. :p

We didn't have a dodgy penalty.

We didn't have a player score 2 who shouldn't have even been on the pitch.

We really were that good against a well organised team, RM were poor beyond belief, in both legs.

We scored 7, 4 is so last year ;)

You just a wind up merchant who wouldn't bring one's self to give Liverpool any credit at any time ever so your comments don't count.

Shame you got good taste in trainers otherwise you would be the complete ******! :p
