In the sky now...

This is weird - I saw exactly the same thing at about 1815......over the Thames near Purfleet. Looked like someone has launched a shuttle (or Trident!).

I'm not the only one who saw it either - stuck it up on Facebook and others saw it.

What the hell is going on?

It's very odd. I was on the train home and it was pretty close - massive vapour trail, going straight up initially and then curving off south-east. I swear there was something at the top of it (rather than it being smoke from the ground) but it wasn't moving hugely fast.

I am in Gloucester and this afternoon there were some serious chemtrails, sorry, contrails ;) about. They seemed to hang around for a very long time. I did have a look outside after spotting this thread but clear sky now.

Does seem strange sometimes.

For most of us we are but mushrooms on this planet....

Kept in the dark and fed on bull****.

I wonder if it will be in the news.

In my mind it "HAS" to have been some sort of rocket.

It was still fairly light when I saw it. Looked like some kind of rocket launch, the vapour/smoke/whatever was so clearly defined. Should I start digging a bunker and break out the tin foil hats?

They're everywhere :D.

nokinidea,

Where about did it seem to originate, I get the impression it was fairly close to you. Probably some chav in Hester's Way letting off a firework! :D

I Seen It also. I Was putting the bin out an thought it was strange.

Beautiful night night for the astronomy tonight, I got both my scopes out.

Hahah no, wrong part of town, Hesters way is in the opposite direction. It went from Crickley hill , went up in the direction of Matson by the time it disappeared into the ether high in the sky.

Funnily enough I have been out looking at the Moon and Saturn tonight as well. Got Stellarium fired up and I am checking out the Universe! :)
