DL'd it, created a trial, played the demo. Very good - has that air of openness that like a good book means you have to put the effort in initially and then you get sucked into reading it..

I scan see this is one of those games with a near vertical learning curve and you need lots of time to become prolifiant (spelling has just failed me). I can't play this type of game or I'll just be sinking all my waking hours into it - something I can't do now. Starting to drift back to quake wars enemy territory as a pick up and put down 15 minute adrenalin shot.
 
Hey guys can anyone tell me what's good to do on this game when you have first started, I've finished the tutorial and done a few more missions but it feels like there is so much more to do, I'm only on a trial account at the moment but I am thinking of upgrading when the two week trial is up.
 
anyone got 72263 - 75883 patch or link?
if you did that update or the one between it could still be in your cashe folder or somewhere around there!

:) Knocked of several weeks, I have all my intel/memory tanking support skills maxed to 5, got nearly 8 million SP's in Leadership, all my skills are level 5 except mining warfare which I haven't even bothered with and Wing Command 4.

Focussing on my gunnery/missile and spaceship command skills.

WOW... lots of bugs. :)

Be careful when making your Skill queue, if you bugger up it wont let you make it again, or at least not for me, no matter how many times i remove it all, set it how i want and then re-apply, it always reverts to the original skillplan. :(

That said, im using OSX client, which is probably more buggy then the Windows client.

Downloaded the client at 980kb/sec earlier around lunch time. :D

Had a quick play, it seems all good, i like it. A few bugs need ironing out, now the question is, i am currently gallente exclusive, do i cross train for a pilgrim, or stat T3 training.
 
Currently got my alt sat outside a wormhole in high sec space. Got my main in system as well in his Hyperion.

As soon as someonegoes through the wormhole in anything decent sized Im going to bring my Hype in behind him and give him some of the Caldari Navy's finest antimatter charges in the face.

And the good news is I wont even lose any sec status! These wormholes are good news for me and my friends.

Wormholes appear at random throughout the universe and will collapse when a certain amount of mass (ships) have passed through them. When one wormhole disappears another will appear somewhere else in the universe. To locate them you scan them down as you would exploration sites. See my picture on the previous page with the scanner window open (I had already recalled the probes). If you want one found I can oblige ;)
 
Yay, had fun this evening in a wormhole, killed some sleepers. They are quite tough but not impossible.

On the way out a gang attacked us, escaped with hull in my mega.
 
Wow. So everyone is having trouble? I opened Eve, set it to update client, and it finished updating within 20 minutes :eek:

Guess im lucky!
