What is it with VW owners and trying to pretend they own something better? Is owning a VW something that gives you some sort of massive inferiority complex or what? I thought the Audi wheels were bad enough

I rarely see a Mk4 golf that hasn't got aftermarket 18" wheels at the very minimum. I think it's fair assessment along with Type-R's having no torque, French cars being damned awful and Ladas needing heated rear screens to keep your hands warm while you push them.

It's all fair game, and more or less quite a fair assessment no matter what label you slap on a vehicle.
