just a quickie, this is not really a big dilemma but all the same I'd just like to pay my 30 pieces of silver and run it past the GD mob,

Basically there's this waitress in work, I'm 'friends' with her but not 'close' friends, I don't go out with her or anything, anyway, she always brings stuff in for me to eat, mainly her home cooking, cakes, pies etc, she's a very nice person, always friendly and upbeat, she is married with two kids, I do joke around flirting a little with her from time to time, nothing serious though.

Anyway, I really appreciate her bringing in food for me all the time and I would like to buy her a present to say thank you but I'm just a little worried that she or her husband may take it the wrong way, I don't fancy her and I'm pretty sure she doesn't fancy me, so what do you think ?

<hides under my blanket>

You're brave running it past this lot ;)

I think it's a nice idea myself as long as you know it will be taken as a friendly return gesture and not stage one of a bedding ploy.

I also think it depends what you buy her, choose carefully!

I think you need to re-evaluate your 'closeness'.

Maybe buy her a cookery book or something related to what she does for you... I don't think you could take that the wrong way.

Get her a bottle of wine or something that she can enjoy with her husband, and tell her it's just a thank you for the stuff she gave you.

Some edible pants? I'm sure they will both enjoy what goes along with them.

Or offer your own recipe 'Spicy bedroom' and suggest her fella watches you two get freaky deaky and see if it spices things up for them?
