Mini USB charging voltage

Is mini USB a standard charge voltage? Does a USB>mini USB put ot the same voltage as a 12v>mini USB?

USB standard is 5v

The thing is,i want to get a 12v car charger for my garmin etrex,it uses mini usb as an external power/data sorce.They seam abit thin on the ground,thought a cell charger one might do the trick.But if the output voltages vary............

Just get a lighter socket 12v->usb 5v charger, then plug the regular usb cable into it?

Yep ok,was just not shure if mini USB was a standard voltage(with chargers) Looks like it is.
