Picked up the new car :)

you have had some truly bad cars

Chaved R5
Chaved Saxo
Purple Nasy Astra
Blue really nasty astra
Chaved 206
Mondeo- awaiting to be chavved up

The Mondeo is looking much better with the alloys..

It's just that arch gap at the front, I know it's meant to be like that, but It just totally ruins the sporty look for me..

it's like this Wide Bodied Megane a guy in here has, it looks quite good, until you see the front wheels are not too far forward in the front arches which again ruins it for me..

(Maybe it's some OCD thing I have that I like symmetry? ;) )

you have had some truly bad cars

Chaved R5 Standard GTT Kit
Chaved SaxoVTS Wheels - only silly things were rear splitter and exhaust
Purple Nasy AstraTotally standard apart from being lowered, and a C20XE
Blue really nasty astraNasty to begin with, yes
Chaved 206Maybe to start with, did you not see pictures of it post-dechav?

Truly bad is a bit extreme really.

I really wish i could reduce the arch gap at the front, aside from lowering it another 20mm i'm not sure what else i can do!

hardly :/

most of them were tastefully modified. big improvement over OEM. although i cant remember what the R5 or Saxo looked like.

If you want to improve the brakes get the front calipers from a mk3 mondeo and some front discs from a focus st170 then you have 300mm discs on the front and they are quite an improvement over stock setup :)

I looked at some pics on ST200.net and it would seem they have to lower the car substantially to get it aesthetically 'perfect'.. but no doubt that may compromise handling etc..

It still looks tidy though, I admit to being a bit 'obsessive' when it comes to that sort of thing!

206 muis show cage = tastefully done
Blue Astra = Tastefully transformed with what's available - questionable point in modding old Astra though.

Don't remember the others. From what I can tell, Phil has looked after and kept his cars and hasn't some anything totally unauthordox and stupid. I wouldn't call aftermarket lights, wheels and suspension totally chav tbh.

I don't know much about Phil's previous cars, the Blue Astra just didn't look right (to me) but at the end of the day, he tries thing, some work, some don't, the mondeo works amazingly and ooks realy REALLY good, as said, MK3 calipers and ST170 brakes, and the ST200 dual exaust rear bumper (with dual exhaust) and the front wheel gap fix, would, imho, finish it.

Was it you who also did a MK4/5 Fiesta Phil? Seem to remember seeing some shots of one and coud have sworn it was you?

I had a MK5 Fiesta 1.25 that i put the Zetec-S kit on, yes :)

didn't you have a red astra aswell a 1.4 with crazy wheels?

You did an amazing polishing job on it?

I wouldn't call it amazing, but it was all done by hand :)

The wheels were given to me by my brother, who was scrapping his R5 and i needed new tyres, so i put them on :)

I then came across a bargain set of 17s, so i bought them, used them for a little while and sold them on for a profit :)

With the bumpers a different shade of red to the rest of the car IIRC? :p

Unfortunately yes.

At the time i was a frequent visitor of UKFN, i did a Pass Plus with a member of the site, who did painting in his "spare time", he painted them once and they were pretty much orange, so had them back to re-do them and the colour match was pretty much bang on, but there was a distinct lack of lacquer/top coat, and it flaked pretty much straight away, so i took the kit off and returned it to standard :)

Looks nice mate (The Mondeo), silly what they are worth really :)

Yeah, they really do go for pennies now. It is possible to buy a nice, respectable car rather cheaply and still have it look reasonably tidy/worth something.

Just need to try and get the front end a little bit lower and i'll be happy :)

Not sure why you are getting stick for your previous cars, that's scraping the barrel a bit.

Mondeo looks great, i'm on the lookout for one myself. Think i'll go for a 2.0 rather than a 2.5 ST24, just needs to be cheap really. Although I may pay slightly more and get a MK3, who knows :)
