Alcohol - Taste or Drunk?

It's not about trying to escape from something. But if you go out to a club/pub or something, after a few drinks you become much more open, and less shy etc. You start to care less about what peoples think and more about having a good time, so you're more likely to dance or talk to people you wouldn't normally and such :)

So you are escaping from your own persona....

What makes you feel shy or worried about what other people think when you are sober?

The first few sips of lager or guiness can be refreshing and a different taste. Any more than that, and I don't really like it. A pint's too much.

Don't really like the taste of the rest of it, don't really enjoy the feeling of being drunk, and mainly do it to fit in.

Always for the taste. I love the taste of a good ale. Last night I was persuaded to try some Old Rosie cider. I don't think I'll be doing that again in a hurry. Vile stuff. Give me a pint of Tribute any day. :p

I used to drink Ale because of the taste, and Belgian beer especially for the taste.

Now I can't drink, and even when allowed to again, I don't think I will go back to it.

A little from column A, a little from column B :)

I mainly drink good single malt whiskies, and I don't usually drink enough at one go to get drunk, or even really feel the effect. On occasion it's good to get blasted though.

Usually i drink to get drunk, however i do like a couple of ice cold kopparbergs occasionally if i'm just watching a film or something.

I don't know how anyone could drink spirits if they weren't trying to get drunk though.

To get drunk.

I can't stand the taste of most alcohols, some stuff like beer and lager I can barely put in my mouth the taste is so vile, no idea how some people can drink it because they enjoy the flavour.

For the taste, im not a fan of just drinking to get drunk. Nothing better than a refreshing pint of Magners, Bulmers, Kopparberg or Strongbow Sirrus........On a side note the co-op are doing 750ml Magners for £1.79 just now :D
