so im on 8mb right and my ports are all open according to utorrent, i usually download at 7mb on firefox. ive tried all the utorrent clients, vuze, tornado, bitcomet etc but to no avail they either never download or i get 10 kbs max. at the moment im downloading a file, i have connected to 70 seeds and 20 peers but maxing out 7kbs, somethig isnt right.

Today, however, i reinstalled my utorrent, and uninstalled my wireless, forgot to uninstall it as i have a wired connection but im maxing out 10kbs on utorrent, its ridiculous and im struggling to find out what to do. All ports are open so any ideas guys?

Your sincerely

Seeders -> Leechers Ratio.

More Seeders/less leechers = better speed. ;)

my talk talk allows max speeds with limewire (**** software i know) and firefox etc, so i doubt its that, i really dont know what to do, i mean im connectd to 70 odd people.

Use a private tracker, it'll completely saturate your download bandwidth.

I always get a fixed 1.4MB/s, on Be* Pro connected at 15Mb/s.

I use Azureus because U-torrent throttles my download speed to about 20KB/s because 1.4MB/s is too fast for it.

Haven't used a public tracker in 5 years.

if you've been abusing the torrents i'd imagine you've been traffic managed by your ISP and theres no way off it. I'm all for "use and abuse" (i love that phrase :D) but you have to be more careful
