I would not personally buy one, but a friend of mine has done and his GTX 280 is clicking when running off it... Are these PSU's decent? Some reviews would suggest they are OK, but I have no experience of them other than second hand.....

Any information would be great as im trying to persuade him to swap for a seasonic of bequiet!

If they are great please do flame me though as I dont want to bad mouth a brand if they are in fact OK....

Not a brand I've heard of. Could be a good PSU but its good to get a reputable name since that gives you peace of mind, worth spending some money on a good one that will last a few upgrades. Seasonic are considered one of the best, but TBH most of the PSUs on Overclockers are good quality.

They fit nicely between carpy £10 PSUs and the lower end branded models sold here on OCUK. Personally I wouldn't trust my 280 with one though.

My OCZ Powerstream 520 has ticked, clicked, squealed and made all sorts of strange noises since day 1.

And it's been going years and never missed a beat.

A cheapskate friend bought one of these a while ago, and it promptly went up in smoke (literally) about a month later, taking his motherboard with it. Needless to say he learnt his lesson and now has a BeQuite. I wouldn't trust it personally, especially not with a 280!
