cases for grown ups?

Because there are an awful lot of people who want to buy that sort of case.

If you want something classy then look at Lian Li and Silverstone (waits for someone to link to the hideous blue lian li tower..thing).

Most makers go through where the fence is lowest or actually burrow under it.
Bling bling sells without need for actual features and quality.

does anyone know of any cases with a wood finish?
Wood probably doesn't comply with EMC requirements so wouldn't wonder if esrious makers avoided it already because of that.

Lian li hands down for stylish and very well designed. Pay through the nose though but as far as im conserned get the right case and you dont need another really.

I would go for a coolmaster cosom if you want a more mature case.
But the best brand for this style is silverstone of Lian li

You are joking right? Cosmos... stylish.... mature..... um. I'm thinking not.

It a case for people with money acting out their children fantasies. Or for someone who likes weight lifting... It is not in the same league as Silverstone or Lian Li.

*can't wait for my new Silverstone LC16 to turn up*

Yeah, there are a lot of cases out there that just look plain terrible. It annoys me as well that most manufacturers don't have a common theme to their range - they just seem to churn out whatever, whenever.

I guess the boy-racer element of PC building doesn't help, or that most geeks have no sense of style.

Lian-Li and Antec plus Coolermaster make some really nice cases. I have an Antec 300 and it is a superbly stylish case. Well made and looks great. No frills, just a good shape with good internal layout etc.
