Some of you may know of my cat Ace ( the Bengal )

He has been very poorly recently, he lost the use of his back legs, he is only 11 months old

Took him to vets and after 2 visits the referred him to a neurologist in Newmarket

anyway over course of last few days the poor little bugger has had to endure

Blood tests
Xrays
MRI scan
2 spinal fluid tests
Abdomen ultrasound
2 sets of nerve conductivity tests
fluid collected from lymph nodes
2 Biopsies
Menengitis tests

anyway mosts tests were negative except for the nerve conductivity ones

we are waiting on some inflamation/infectious disease test results from a lab in France which are due in next day or so

Biopsy results due end of week

and some Neuron test results from the US due in about 3 weeks

hopefully the last one will be negative

anyway he seems to be improving at the moment and is back home for now

he has a total of 6 areas shaved from various procedures

the good bit is he can now stand for the fist time in over a week, his walking is still awkward but things are looking better :)

looks like he has been in a nazi camp.....

I love the belly thread - I instantly thought "willy pic!"

I gotta ask though, if the spots on his furr are from black spots on his skin, why isnt the orange fur from orange skin?

Wish him a Speedy recovery Rotty.

about 6 months ago my cat was ambushed by a fox and suffered a severely broken Skull, but she pulled through! :D

it's so saddening seeing cats with shaved patches :(

the black spots on his "skin" are just darkenings caused by the tiny amount of hair left :)
that said, my cat's skin is bone-white under her black fur and pink under her white fur :p

Probably a little more tanned under the white fur because white reflects light whereas black absorbs it. My cats are both black and white and after they have been lying in the sun, its very noticeable when you pet them that the black fur is a lot hotter than the white bits.

Anyway, hope Ace gets better quick :)

then surely the bit under the black fur would be more tanned? :p
