Hi all

Have googled around and searched these forums a bit but cannot find an answer yet. I've installed Windows 7 (build 7057, x64) along with the Windows 7 beta Creative driver and everything works fine, except I cannot get the quick access icon to appear in the taskbar bottom right.

Anyone else having this issue / got a solution?

perhaps you need to run as admin on the driver window thing... then tick the box for it to appear

i prefer mine without it, so i don't know mate

The latest version for vista does not include the Volume Panel.
I had to install the version before over the top to get the Volume Panel which was not a problem as the installer detects that i had newer version of the Console & just installed the Volume Panel.

You will see when it installs if the Volume Panel is included as it should aks you where you want to install it.

I think it is just a slip up on Creative's part.

Ok thanks I will try this tonight. Without it it takes longer to change modes though surely? Or do you just have a normal application shortcut in the quicklaunch? With the taskbar icon it's two clicks to go from games mode to entertainment mode for example.

Install the previous version of the Windows 7 beta? I didn't know there was one. Or are you referring to the Vista driver?

i only use my gaming pc for games, if i do have music on, it's not for long, so i just keep it in game mode

I was referring to the vista version that had the same issue, due to the Volume Panel not showing up because it was in fact not included in the installation & it may be the same issue for the W7 version.
Go into the creative folder where the AudioCS & Console Launcher folders reside & there should be a Volume Panel folder there as well if it was included in the install.

The Volume icon works fine on mine, as do all the Creative Console features - fwiw, I'm using the latest Youp Pax Win7 release.

:)

Youp Pax...OK I will try two things tonight:

- install Vista console and see if that sorts it
- if the above screws up I will reluctantly try Youp Pax. I say reluctantly as the Vista drivers I previously tried (albeit months ago) were pants! :p

Cheers
