What are the best online FPS at the moment?

How is Goldeneye: Source these days? I tried it shortly after the first beta release and it was pretty bad :/

Its finished. Its very polished. They call it Beta 3. But take my word for it, its a proper game. Why aren't you playing it right now?? :D Heh nah I don't play it all that much but its a really nice log in, shoot a few peeps, die a lot, log out after having had some fun times, type game. Exactly what games should be really. And if you had Goldeneye 64 there is really NO excuse. And its flippin free and only half a gig! (iirc at least)

Yeah, I downloaded it in the hope that it'd be like the N64 version but it was too unfinished when I tried it. Looks like I've got an excuse to download it again now :)

Left 4 Dead
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Counter Strike: Source
Team Fortress II
Call of Duty II ( still going strong )
Battle Field II ( going to be a new group of Battlefields games soon - ish )

Buy Red Orchestra off steam, if a) you like bargains, £2.99 b) you like ww2 era games c) enjoy a challenging game.

Downloading that Goldeneye Source now. Looks fun!

Just been playing Goldeneye. There's hardly anyone playing in fact just one populated server and i didn't think the game was that good but it does look nice.

Hehe I must just be a fanboi who has no clue what a good online FPS looks like :D . I get pwned so bad so quickly I get put off by most of them ;) .

I've found if that if I pick a server with a decent ping to me & just start the game, by the time I've ran around the map picking up weapons someone will join me, then after that a few more will follow. Did that the other day & ended up playing for 4 hours with up to 10 people on the server. The servers will never be full to the brim tho, its only an online beta of a game over 10 year old but for anyone who was a fan of the game on the N64 its worth a look & can be a good laugh.
