Samsung T240 24"

Just bought its slightly bigger brother. Wow.

Some people have complained about the viewing angles, but i've found the only time the screen distorts a lot is when your looking up at it from the floor. Sideways and downwards have a lot of clarity right until the extremes.

Lovely clear panel with a nice bright backlight, which seems to have a very minimal amount of bleed too.

Had one for about 2 weeks before returning it.

Mine had a bright corner and it was never quite uniform from top to bottom, always an edge dimmer or darker than the rest of the screen, no matter how I tilted it I could never get acceptable black and dark contrasts.

Im happy with the picture on mine too :) No idea about calibration but could you let me know if you have the same problem as mine..

If i change resolution, occassionally it loses the signal from the pc, resulting in me having to turn it off and on again to see the picture.. It is odd :)

i got mine at 55 brightness, 50 contrast, Magic* are off. pretty clear images with very good colour representation.

fantastic monitor, just need to wipe the outside once in a while due to dust. (well, with normal monitors, you don't notice as easily)

the T series are the best TN panels you can get really.

Does yours do what mine does too tho? :)

The Freeview Tuner has perked up my interest in this. Does that simply mean it has an inbuilt freeview box? Also does it have those awful touch-sensitive button type things which make you want to gouge your eyes out (this is the main reason for my dissatisfaction with my Hyundai)?

You could easily be describing my T220 there. I've had it 8 months, and am starting to look for replacements.

hey was just about to open a new thread on this screen, but ill post in here.

few questions:

its is full 1080p?
has it got in built speakers?
whats it like as a pc screen? (main use)
Whats the freeview like?

Got a t200hd which I don't use for freeview yet (dont own a lisense in halls) but as for computer monitor, its brilliant. Was main reason I brought it for. Dunno bout hdmi output or what its like...

1080p = 1920x1080.

This monitor is 1920x1200.

So simple answer is yes. Although you will get black bars for HD movies etc, but that is to be expected.

And the "T240HD" version is the TV one.
