tony888t, great win there. I feel your pain with the swearing, made me lol. Mind you i do that all the time cos im crap! i dont know how you guys pull off the combos so quickly with the pad, i struggle
thanks. Well i prefer the pad to the stick it what i've been brought up. With a bit of practice you get the combos out easy, o lus you need fast fingers

Tony - how you play with the pad? You use thumb on buttons or fingers on top of the pad? I ask due to the very quick button pressing sounds on the vid and the speed at which you pull off the combos. Let me know. I personally have the thumb on the buttons though I have seen others play with fingers on top of the pad. Could never do that myself.
Also - holy cow - you both kept the pressure on. I don't think I am up to either of your two standards yet - though a bit of practice..... Suffering from a Streetfighter induced dpad thumb injury at the moment (any excuse lol) though expect to be fighting fit by next week.
At the moment I loose more than I win, though I usually get at least one of the rounds and the others are close.
PLayed chris_beans earlier and took some what of a beating 6-1. Though they were close and I tried not to make it to easy for him.

i play with thumb on buttons never seen anyone play with fingers on top of the pad
the only tip i can give is practice, play people on all different levels that way you can come up with your own playing style, if you really wanted to you can study each character movements

Cheers for the tips - I am a SF2 vet but only played my bro back in the day. You learn how to play against one person and habits stem from there based on what works. I have found the old habits have kicked right in again which means i can still beat my bro but online most do not work. Very different to the old days of only playing a few mates
I had a mate who used to play with fingers on top of the pad - used to rest it on the edge of his leg so his thumb was still on the dpad and the other half of the pad on his leg. He was quite good at it, but he is the only person out there who I have ever seen using the technique. He has probably been locked away by now though

Totally bemused though - he didnt pull one single combo and as M. Bison just wore me down with scissor kicks, psycho crushers and headstompers and crouching roundhouses. He just kept to a corner of a screen and just didnt let me get near. Really wierd as it felt like I was playing a noob who knew the specials but didnt know any combos - really threw me and my game collapsed...
Ive got to admit Ive never played anyone like it - not even guile players who generally are defensive...
GGs mate - Im sure youve got a whole lot more to show...

if i was losing the 1st match i was going to play as sagat and be offensive, my 2nd favourite character
lol, you didnt even let me charge my super / ultras meters loli have a strong feeling im going out in the next round though

That's the problem with facing a character you hardly ever play against. Who were you playing as?
