Stupidity or laziness is not a reason, it's a handicap.
I meant not everyone has the option of plugging their computer into the TV.

You need to look up the definition of fact. That is not fact it is opinion. It may be a widely held opinion but it is still opinion. Many people prefer the games you've listed on consoles and have their own reasons for it, that is an opinion as well.
Prefer has nothing to-do with facts of being better or worse.
Snowdog your pretty much bang on as to why many prefer gaming on consoles & for the most part they don't know better & are lazy
That is incredibly ignorant.
Ignorant is not knowing.
Thank you for explaining the word. I still stand by it. Claiming that most people prefer gaming on consoles because they don't know better & are lazy is just ridiculous. Just because someone doesn't make the same choice as you, it does not mean they don't know better.
I show you & give examples of what people say to me every day that backs up what i have said. you have not given anything that backs up your claims.
You have given me a few examples. That is hardly enough to say that 'most' don't know better is it? I don't have to give any examples because I haven't made any statements that require evidence. What do you want me to back up?
You have in fact made statements that is arguing the opposite to my claims & with out examples to back up what your saying is nothing more than hot air & denial.
You challenge my claims with out evidence., lets hope you never have a day in court or a dispute as you think you don't need evidence, just your word.

Can you please quote some statements I have made? As far as I can see I have just disagreed with you because you have insufficiently supported your statements.
If you made a claim that most white people wore red t-shirts and I disagreed, would I have to provide evidence if you hadn't given evidence to support your claim?
http://changingminds.org/techniques/assertiveness/disagreeing.htmDescription
When another person makes a statement with which you disagree, state that you disagree with them, rather than appearing to agree. Even if you passively say nothing, you have, in effect, agreed with them.
Make the fact that you disagree clear.
Explain why you think the other person is wrong. Use specific evidence where you can. Use clear logic, linking cause and effect.
I'm amazed at the ignorance of some of the comments in here. Despite having a PC that could produce better visuals than my consoles, I chose to game on consoles.
It's not through being 'stupid and lazy', it's simply because I prefer the convenience of simply firing up a console and kicking back on the sofa infront of my 50" TV.
Yes, I could connect my PC to the TV (I do occasionally), but for the most part the potential 'improvement' is just not worth it.
[EDIT] Oh and, i'm fed up of people claiming that you need to be intelligent to own an run a gaming PC, what a load of trash. I'm the definition of average in terms of intelligence but have built several PCs and played hundreds of games on them over the years, it's easy. All you need to be is educated about PC gaming which tbh could be done in a day if you were so inclined, my sister for example is incredibly intelligent but is completely uninterested in learning what resolution stuff runs at, or what anti aliasing is and so instead owns a console. Just because someone isn't interested in learning a particular topic doesn't make them stupid.
