Chaps,

Am I right in thinking that if I have to renew my tax this month i should do it for a full year rather than 6 months.

This is to avoid having to renew in September and getting stung with a higher tax rate.

Is my thinking accurate?

Thanks

That was my thinking as I was going to do it for 6 months to stagger it away from the servicing, MOT and Insurance.

I renewed for 170, next year I should squeeze it in at 175 before it goes to 200....

A 6 months licence is never half what a 12 months licence is anyway - they always add a premium to 6 months RFL.

For example, 12 months for mine is £185. 6 months is £101.75. in effect that means you pay 10% more over the year.

RTFT tbh.

Yes, spend more now to avoid spending even more later.
